Luxury automotive brand Mercedes-Benz has earned the ‘Luxury Automobile & Services’ award at the Arab Luxury World PR Awards held recently at Pacha Ibiza in Dubai. The award recognized a two-stage PR campaign comprised of a media event featuring the winning Mercedes AMG Petronas team, followed by the AMG Performance Tour 2015 driving experience, both of which took place in Abu Dhabi last year and earlier this year.
The second annual edition of the highly acclaimed Arab Luxury Conference launched a special awards ceremony honoring the region’s leading contribution Public Relations and Brand Communication excellence and innovation in the luxury sector. The awards were judged by a panel of luxury marketers reviewing public relations and brand communication campaigns released between April 2014 and March 2015.

The multi-stage Mercedes-Benz campaign ran between November 2014 and February 2015, and highlighted the AMG sub brand’s distinctive “Driving Performance” DNA. The first stage offered select media and VIP customers an exclusive opportunity to preview the new Mercedes-AMG GT S in the presence of the Mercedes AMG Petronas team at an event on the eve of the 2014 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The event was organised in partnership with Emirates Motor Company (EMC), Mercedes-Benz general distributor in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and Al-Ain and the flagship company of Al Fahim Group.
The second stage was comprised of a highly exclusive experiential track driving event – the AMG Performance Tour – enabling VIP customers and select media to experience the full range of Mercedes-AMG vehicles on the racetrack at the Yas Marina Formula 1 Circuit in Abu Dhabi.
This once-in-a-lifetime experience also included the debut of the much anticipated Mercedes-AMG GT S and brand new Mercedes-AMG C 63 models.
