Dubai, UAE, July 13, 2014: Gargash Enterprises accelerates ahead with yet another engineering ace from Mercedes-Benz – the all-new C-Class. Awash with advanced technology and flaunting a dynamic new style, the new C-Class is destined to set new standards in the premium medium-size category. Greater, more luxurious comfort and higher grade interior materials are complemented by a drive that is both refined and dynamic.
Style is also an important aspect of the C-Class and is a combination of the Mercedes-Benz sports cars with a new centre console featuring sporty flowing lines. Three different design and equipment lines for the exterior and interior each offer further scope for individualisation. The AVANTGARDE line showcases the C-Class as a sporty Saloon, the EXCLUSIVE line places the emphasis on modern luxury while the AMG Line lends the C-Class a decidedly sporty appearance.
“The all new C-Class incorporates many assistance systems with a range of enhanced functions. While it may have the designing, safety and technology features of Mercedes-Benz’s luxury large sedan, it stands alone as a vibrant character. Personifying the contemporary automotive luxury by the Mercedes-Benz brand, the C-Class has all the prerequisites to be a huge success,” says Mr. Wassim Derbi, Marketing Manager – Gargash Enterprises.
The C-Class has grown after taking into consideration the increasing average height of those who drive the car. The vehicle is now 95 millimetres longer and 40 millimetres wider, resulting in more space for the driver and passengers. The body of the new C-Class provides an innovative basis for reduced weight, outstanding rigidity, including load introduction rigidity for excellent handling, combined with optimum noise and vibration characteristics and a high level of crash safety. Since the new model uses aluminum body panels, it is lighter than its predecessors and boasts a brand new range of engines that will help lower fuel consumption.
Other performance upgrades include standard-fit H7 halogen headlamps as well as two energy-saving LED variants. Another highlight that marks an evolutionary step is the touchpad that allows letters, numbers and special characters to be handwritten in any language supported by Audio 20 or COMAND Online. What’s even more interesting is that the touchpad also supports the Arabic language.
A head-up display is also new to the C-Class. It displays important information directly in the driver’s field of vision on the front windscreen, thus providing for clear legibility and less distraction from the road ahead. The system provides information on speed, posted speed limits, navigation instructions and messages from the DISTRONIC system.
In addition, Mercedes-Benz offers the optional air suspension (AIRMATIC) system with electronically controlled and continuously variable damping at the front and rear which provides outstanding performance. This is the first air suspension setting available on this Class of vehicles. The driver can choose AIRMATIC settings such as Comfort, Eco, Sport, Sport + and Individual. The Individual setting can be changed according to the driver’s preferences.
It is the declared aim of Mercedes-Benz to make the highest standard of safety available to everyone. To this end, the new C-Class incorporates almost all of the new assistance systems with a host of enhanced functions which celebrated their world premiere in the S-Class and E-Class only a few months ago.
Gargash Enterprises has introduced C 200 and C 250 in the Dubai market with improved responsiveness and smoother running courtesy of the new engines. For those craving a bit more speed, the new C250 produces enhanced horsepower at 211 compared to 204 in the previous model.
